Several wildfires in Colorado and Wyoming have burned upwards of 20,000 acres and are visible from space.  NASA provides access to satellite data through their worldview app ((https://worldview.earthdata.nasa.gov/)).

Reddish coloration in the encircled areas of these images indicate burned vegetation.

The Divide wildfire, north of Craig, Colorado is visible from satellite.  Landsat images illustrate the growth and extent of the fire from June 30,2018.  As of July 7, the fire was mapped at about 20,000 acres and 40% contained.  https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/5897/.  The blue circle encompasses the area affected by the fire.  #thanksnasa
